How to Use neng.help: Upload, Extract & Organize Documents
Document upload, paste text, workflows, and domains — step by step.
1. Getting Started
After signing up, you land on the Dashboard. Create or join a household to share quota and data with family members. The dashboard shows your recent workflows, extracted items (events, expenses, etc.), and subscription status.
Use the top navigation to switch between Events, Expenses, Income, and other domains. Use the profile menu (top right) for Account, Household, Subscription, and this manual.
2. Upload & Process Documents
On the dashboard you can upload files (PDF, images, Office docs, text) or paste text directly — paste text to extract data without uploading a file. Supported formats include PDF, JPG, PNG, TIFF, HEIC, .docx, .pptx, .xlsx, and .txt.
Each upload starts a workflow. The app runs OCR (for images/PDFs) and AI extraction to find events, expenses, income, medical info, insurance, contracts, certificates, licenses, and timetables. You can follow progress on the dashboard and open Workflows to see status and reprocess if needed.
Extracted items appear in the relevant domain (e.g. expenses under Expenses). You can edit, delete, or link them to documents from the detail views.
3. Domains (Events, Expenses, Income, etc.)
Data is organized into domains. Each has its own list and filters:
- Events — Meetings, reminders, and other time-based items
- Expenses — Receipts, invoices, spending
- Income — Income records
- Medical — Medical records and documents
- Insurance — Insurance policies and documents
- Contracts — Contracts and agreements
- Certificates — Certificates and awards
- Licenses — Licenses and permits
- Timetables — Schedules and timetables
Open an item to see details, link to the source document, and edit or delete. The order of domains in the top nav can be customized in Settings (household owner).
4. Household
A household is a shared space: members share the same quota (page limit) and can see the same extracted data. The owner manages the subscription and can invite or remove members.
Go to Household to create a household, invite members by email, or switch between households if you belong to more than one. Owner settings (e.g. domain order) are in household settings.
5. Subscription & Billing
Starter and Pro plans differ by page quota and number of households. You get a 7-day free trial; after that you are charged according to your plan (monthly or yearly). Yearly billing includes two months free (you pay for 10 months per year).
The household owner can manage the subscription under Settings → Subscription: upgrade, downgrade, switch billing period, or cancel. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the current billing period. View payment history under the Payments tab.
6. Settings
In Settings you can:
- Account & Security — Update name, email, password
- Consent — View and manage consents
- Export — Request a copy of your data
- Subscription — Manage plan (owner only)
- Payments — View payment history
